As a family-owned business, we, Gayle Anderson and Aaron O’Sullivan, are proud to continue the legacy of the beloved Hugh Statham’s Jewellery store in Naas. With a history spanning 40 years on Main Street, we are honoured to build upon this foundation and bring our passion for jewellery to the forefront.
Our dream was always to open our own shop, and Hugh’s retirement presented the perfect opportunity. We reopened in September 2022, retaining four of Hugh’s colleagues, and adding to them with our new team. Their familiar faces continue to delight our customers, and their years of experience add immense value to our team.
Our story began when we met at a two-year apprentice training course in Kilkenny, run by The Crafts Council of Ireland. We further honed our skills in the jewellery quarter of Birmingham, Antwerp and London learning modern techniques like computer-aided design, 3D printing and micro-pave setting. We are both passionate about craftsmanship and growing our skill base, both regularly upskilling and keeping up to date with technological developments.
Gayle and Aaron bring extensive experience from their combined 32 years in the jewellery trade. They have specialised in creating custom diamond engagement rings and complex repair work for many jewellers around the country. Gayle's designs have won numerous awards, including two at the RDS National Crafts Competition. Aaron is a founding member of the Irish Jewellers and Silversmiths Guild, passionate about promoting Irish talent and education.
Jewellery is often purchased to commemorate life’s milestones - engagements, graduations, anniversaries, or the birth of a child. To cater to every customer, we offer a wide range of products, from affordable items to high-end pieces. Our specialisation lies in blending traditional goldsmithing skills with modern technology to create bespoke jewellery for our customers. From crafting new unique pieces to remodelling heirlooms like a cherished family ring, or restringing your grandmother’s pearl necklace, we do it all. The thrill of daily surprise requests keeps our work exciting and challenging.
